Divinity Surrounds Me

Of the hundreds of faces you look at each day,

How many do you take for granted?

When you look at a person,

How often do you appreciate what you see?

Were you to pay attention,

Do you know what you would find?

Let me tell you.

When I look at a person,

I see entire universes

Seated behind orbs

That shine like the galaxies within.

When I look at a person,

I see infinite horizons

Bright with electrical impulses

Fiercer than any storm.

When I look at a person,

I see 14 billion-year-old stardust

Sculpted to perfection

By the trials of time.

When I look at a person,

I see the face of God.
