Infinitesimal Beauty

There is no beauty

Unappreciated as dirt.

To the untrained eye

It is a hideous brown.

A closer look, however

Reveals endless color.

Billions of stubborn stones

Reduced to mere rubble—

Shattered and worn

By the trials of time.

Each grain effortlessly

Radiates unparalleled character.

I long for my bones

To turn to dust:

Settling with the dirt

Making me beautiful.
